Commissioning Date: February, 2015
Project Overview
ISI Water was contracted to supply three BWRO plants for the town of Seminole Texas, totalling 3.5 million US gallons per day for supply of potable water. The purpose of the plants were to remove arsenic and excessive TDS from the groundwater to meet local standards. The BRWO system is highly effective at removing arsenic with a rejection rate of 99%.
The Pretreatment System
Each plant utilizes a fully automated multimedia filtration system as pretreatment before the RO system. After the MMF is a 5 micron cartridge filter to catch any media that manages to pass through the underdrains in the multimedia filters.
The BWRO System
The reverse osmosis systems in each plant features a Grundfos vertical multistage centrifugal high pressure pump, Protec 1000 psi pressure vessels and a Scheider Electric motor control center with variable frequency drives for all of the process pumps. The plant is fully automated with an OPTO22 control system designed, built and programmed by ISI Water including a PC based HMI and SCADA system in a central control room.
